Avatar-based storytelling
The app relies on avatar-based storytelling. Visitors are guided through the exhibition “neuSTADTerzählen” by the avatars Emperor Maximilian I and landlady Elli. Together with the digital figures, visitors explore exciting stories and background information about the exhibition and the museum. In the exhibition, iBeacons marked with a blue feather symbol can be found at the stations – visitors can hold their phones near these Bluetooth transmitters and get the content of the stop displayed.
