For those who want to know more, the “discovery tours” provide precise details about the habitats of the nature park. Exciting riddles, especially for younger visitors, invite them to collect “Nature Park Friends”. Those who have collected enough “Nature Park Friends” will receive a genuine “Junior Ranger on Discovery Tour” badge from the Nature Park Rangers to sew onto their shirts or backpacks.
In the audio tour you lear about the nature park, the ecological relationships and cultural landscape. On the routes by foot or by bike, there are various stations. Here, the nature park rangers and others have their say and can be heard via smartphone speaker or headphones. In this way, the Frankenhöhe Nature Park becomes accessible.
"The children use the smartphone to get to know nature. They are excited about the possibility of collecting points, which motivates them. The adults follow along and then want to enable their children to collect nature park friends in other places as well."
Benjamin Krauthahn, Nature Park Ranger
The Naturpark Frankenhöhe app was made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection.
