Benefits of indoor positioning using beacon technology
Small beacons placed in the museum allow precise location tracking, so visitors can check their current location. Why is this useful?
Visitors can easily orient themselves and move through the museum independent. The app offers a good overview of the exhibits, additionally it is possible to filter by different subject categories or by level. Once you have discovered a highlight object in the app, it is also easy to find the original in the museum.
Another use case is the “Stops Nearby” function, which makes it easy to find exhibition objects in the immediate vicinity.
