- Digital companion: Explore the most important points of contact by means of an interactive map of the national park and its region and see your own location at any time.
- Scanning of iBeacons for direct, contactless station selection.
- Digital tour offer: Videos and a lot of multimedia content inform visitors about flora and fauna, but also about the national park itself. Quiz questions activate the users. When a tour stop is reached, users receive a message.
- Full offline functionality: The app can be downloaded in advance on WiFi so that all functions can be used even if digital data access is limited while hiking in the wilderness.
- The app is available in German and English. There is also information in plain language and sign language.
Augmented Reality Ranger
At information points and ranger meeting points in the national park, an augmented reality application can be accessed by scanning small information panels with your smartphone. In the app the “AR ranger” welcomes you and you can also take a selfie with the ranger.
