Users can go on an expedition with the avatars Mr & Mrs Koenig, build a fantasy landscape with fantasy animals and discover interesting facts about specific topics.

On an expedition

The application enables the target group to delve deep into the world of ecological and biological relationships. Together with the explorer couple Margarethe and Alexanader König, the young researchers embark on adventurous expeditions, e.g. through the African savannah, the research region of the Bonn natural scientist and museum founder Alexander Koenig. Numerous tasks await at each stop on the journey: Quiz questions, search pictures, memory games, eavesdropping tasks, matching tasks and much more. You collect fact sheets about the animals you visit and earn points. Animal parts are also acquired.

The topic pages

What is biodiversity? What can I do myself for more biodiversity? These and other questions are answered with many illustrative examples and ideas from the museum. An important pool of information for pupils, teachers and anyone interested.

The fantasy landscape

Users can use the animal components acquired at the stations in the fantasy world. Now it’s time to get creative. The young researchers can make collages from various animal parts and thus create their own fantasy animal. They can download the finished collage or send it to the museum to be included in the gallery of fantasy worlds.
